With an inbreeding coefficient of 21.5% Hemlock was the 21st champion of record, bred in 1947 by his owner, Mrs. E.H. Hardy. He was a singleton puppy with no full siblings. Of note is that two of his paternal half siblings earned their American title and his one maternal half sibling earned her Eng. championship. He was bred only twice to two different bitches. Hemlock likely carried the drop ear gene through Eng. Ch. Farndon Red Dog and Ch. Wychdale Napoleon
