Historical Pedigree: Tigger of Boxted

A Drop Ear red dog sired by the historical Eng. Ch. Tobit, Tigger was owned by G. Gordon Masey and bred by Mrs. G. Blewitt of England in 1934. With an inbreeding coefficient of only 5.8% Tigger had a prolific 5 littermates and 18 full siblings including a significant number of historical Norfolks that impacted the breed early on even though most of them did not earn their championship. Interestingly Tigger had no half siblings on his dam's side but had 16 half siblings on his sire's side, none of which completed their titles. Of note is that apparently the particular gene pool of Tobit to Toffee was a more successful venture in history than other Tobit and Toffee matings. Note the mixed ear carriage in this pedigree. Tigger was registered with AKC in 1936.
