The 12th recorded champion in the breed, Perseverance was bred in 1946 by Mrs. A. Goldsmith and owned by Mrs. E.E. Miller. With an inbreeding coefficient of 13.6% she had one littermate and one full sibling, neither a champion. She had no half siblings on her dam's side and the one half sibling on her sire's side did not earn her championship. She was bred only one time to produce a prolific 6 puppies, none of which earned their championship. From Frank Rogers, "She had an aversion to dog shows, was not easy to show, but she had everything a judge wanted in a drop-ear Norwich terrier." Note the mixed ear carriage in this pedigree.
